• Mike Nguy - Pharmacist

The Camrose Primary Care Network is thrilled to announce that we have a new Pharmacist working at our Camrose Rec Centre office. Mike Nguy, BSc Phm, R. Ph, has taken up the mantle of Pharmacist with us and already is excelling in his role. We know that getting to know someone new can be a little intimidating so Mike answered a couple of questions for us.
Mike was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario. He always loved the sciences and so when he graduated from high school, he decided to pursue science in a way that would help others, namely in pharmacy. He graduated from the University of Toronto and relocated to Camrose. He had visited Alberta before on a vacation and loved the mountains and the vibrant festival and events scene so he picked up his life and came here.
Mike has been a pharmacist for nearly five years and is excited to begin working in the PCN. He enjoys the collaboration with other healthcare providers and patient-centred care. Since Mike has been a pharmacist in the community for some time, he noticed many patients expect regular collaboration between healthcare providers, but in some settings it can be challenging. The PCN fills that need, especially with help from people like Mike.
Outside of work, you can see Mike avidly cheering for his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, or playing other sports like soccer and badminton. The Camrose Primary Care Network is so glad to have Mike to help our patients manage their medications and medical concerns. Welcome to the team, Mike!
