“We want to hear from you” – Camrose PCN asks the public what they think about primary care

What contributes to high quality primary care? The Camrose Primary Care Network (PCN) believes asking patients directly is the best way to find out.

Beginning on November 12th, the Camrose PCN will be asking individuals to tell us about their relationship with their family doctor as well as their experience with their family doctor’s office as and the Camrose PCN.  

The survey will focus on three (3) main themes: Patient Satisfaction; Patient Experience and Patient Outcomes. Data collected from this project will provide the PCN and its team of family physicians and healthcare providers with baseline information to support future programming.   

The survey will run until December 3rd and interested individuals can participate online or complete the survey in hard copy at the Gemini Health Centre, Bashaw Clinic or Daysland Medical Clinic.  

In appreciation to those that fill out the short survey, there will be a draw for an ipad mini (just in time for Christmas!).

“We know the importance of a positive relationship between patients and their family doctors, who are the most responsible providers of their primary care” says Stacey Strilchuk, Executive Director of the Camrose PCN. “Over the past 5 years we have also seen the value of a team or network of healthcare providers, including nurses, pharmacists and dietitians working together with the patients’ family physicians to provide and coordinate a comprehensive range of primary care services required by each person”.  

“This survey is about further enhancing the patient–doctor, patient–nurse, and other healthcare provider relationships that have been developed and strengthened over time to offer the best possible health outcomes for each person and the community being served”.
